The Company shall, upon completion of any work requiring the opening of any street or public place, restore the same, including the paving and its foundations, to as good condition as formerly, and in a manner and quality approved by the City, and shall exercise reasonable care to maintain the same thereafter in good condition. Said work shall be performed with due diligence, and if the Company shall fail to perform and complete the work within a reasonable time, to remove all dirt and rubbish and to put the street or public place in good condition, the City shall have the right to put the street or public place in good condition at the expense of the Company; and the Company shall upon demand, pay to the City the cost of such work done for or performed by the City.

The expense of such temporary removal, raising or lowering of wires shall be paid by the person requesting the same, and the Company shall have the authority to require such payment in advance.
