Any police officer as defined in this article who has served in the police department
of any city or town participating in the state police pension and retirement system
may transfer service time for credit into the pension system of the city, provided,
however, that any police officer permitted to transfer such service time under 11
O.S. Supp. 1978, § 50-126, has three hundred sixty-five (365) days from the date he
starts to work for the police department to transfer such time, or else the transfer
will be null and void.
