§ 28-15. Participation in W.I.S.E. programs.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The city clerk-treasurer is authorized to process all paperwork associated with the city's participation in the W.I.S.E. energy services marketing programs offered through the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA). These programs are designed to improve the city's load factors by increasing offpeak sales of electricity to electrical customers at a savings to each customer of money and energy while cutting the KW demand which translates into savings for the city by lowering the demand cost for electricity and thereby reducing the cost of operations.

    (b)

The OMPA has developed policies and procedures specifically spelled out by the W.I.S.E. energy program. These policies and procedures pertaining to customer rebates may change from time to time, and upon thirty (30) days' notice to the city shall be accordingly altered.

    (c)

These programs may be terminated at any time with no further liability by the city or OMPA.
