§ 2-1.6. Same—Duties of E-911 administrator.

  • The duties of the E-911 administrator shall include, but not be limited to, the following duties:

    (a)

    Responsible for the over-all operation of the E-911 dispatch center, representing the city under the administrative contract with the Altus/Jackson County E-911 Regional Authority (a/k/a the city-county enhanced E-911 telephone system, hereinafter the "E-911 trust"), and being responsible for preparation of a budget and issuing purchase orders to operate the E-911 center within the budget approved by the city.

    (b)

    Attends all E-911 trust meetings, overseeing the preparation of agenda items, compliance with the Open Meeting Act, presenting the budget and other items to the E-911 trust, keeping the E-911 trust informed on compliance issues and new technologies, carrying out the directives of the E-911 trust, keeping the E-911 trust in compliance with the Nine-One-One Emergency Number Act, Title 63 O.S.A. section 2811 et seq., and carrying out the purposes of the E-911 trust as enumerated in the trust indenture creating the E-911 trust.

    (c)

    Encourage the cooperation of all emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance services, for the efficient response to emergency requests in its respective area and encourage the collection and distribution of emergency response information to all affected emergency services, both within and without the city limits, and within the Jackson County limits.

    (d)

    Provide record keeping of the utilization of the funds provided for E-911 services and provide for the storage of records of the E-911 trust's activities.
