§ 8-5. Cemetery fees and permits.
(a)
The following permits and fees are required and shall be obtained through the cemetery office prior to the work being performed.
(1)
Lot sales permit, City Cemetery.
Full lot (five spaces) ..... $1,200.00
Single adult space ..... 300.00
Baby ½ space ..... 100.00
(2)
Lot sales permit, Restlawn Cemetery.
Per space ..... $300.00
(3)
Interment fee. Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) to be paid by the funeral home, monument company or other responsible party for each burial, whether below ground, above ground, or by inurnment of cremated remains in a columbarium niche in the City Cemetery.
(4)
Monument setting permit. Twenty dollars ($20.00) per trip to the lot. This fee applies to monument setting by engravement on the face of a columbarium niche in the City Cemetery.
(5)
Mausoleum setting permit. Twenty-five dollars ($25.00), and shall not apply to Restlawn Cemetery.
(6)
Columbarium niche sale permit, City Cemetery.
Full niche (12 × 12, holds 2 urns) ..... $600.00
Second interment (for 2nd urn) ..... 100.00
(b)
Permits are available Monday through Friday. Requirements after normal working hours, city holidays, or weekends must receive prior approval on each job. Fees shall be required for everyone, except for the setting of veteran monuments, which are funded through the V.A.
