§ 22-61. Custody and disbursement of pension funds.

All moneys provided for the funds of the police pension and retirement system by appropriation by the city, or by contribution by police officers or from any other source, shall be paid over to and received by the city clerk-treasurer for the use and benefit of the police pension and retirement system, to be disbursed and handled as provided by law and this article. The additional duties thus imposed on the city clerk-treasurer shall be additional duties for which he shall be liable under his oath and bond as such city clerk-treasurer.
